SMS phishing is becoming an increasingly annoying and dangerous problem. If you've ever received an unexpected from Google or Facebook, or any other tech company alerting you to a compromised account do not respond back to it. Chances are high that you're being targetted by a phishing text message scam

Whenever you get an unwanted text whether it be from a potential scammer, cyberbully, a spam texter, or an ex, you can easily stop these harassing mesages by blocking them on your iPhone. In just a few easy steps you can block annoying texters.

Step 6

Once you've blocked the number you'll no longer receive text message alerts. You can also block calls in a few quick steps too! The recipient you've blocked won't have any idea they've been blocked, aside from the fact that you're now ignoring them.

It is important to note that you will not be able to retrieve any of the messages sent to you from a blocked number. If you decide that you would still like to receive the messages from the person that you want to block, there is a way to not receive notifications and filter iMessages from unwanted and unknown texters. It's also very easy to unblock and block contacts.

Our app provides these instructions so the next time you find yourself being harassed by an unwanted texter you can block them while you're on the go. You can also warn others by leaving your feedback on scam phone numbers. CallerSmart's free white pages reverse lookup app is available for download in the App Store.
